Young Boys didn't start the season as expected, but probably because their players are mostly focused on playing and trying to get into the Champions League this time. After two rounds played in domestic league, they have only two points - making both 1:1 draws, at home against Luzern and away to Zurich. It has to be said that they were almost completely outplayed against Zurich, while the team had to play with a man less since 64th minute against Luzern and most probably that's the reason Young Boys got only a point in that game. During the pre-season friendlies they have actually showed some great effectivity by scoring 4:1 victory over Stuttgart and 3:1 over Xamax which were their two latest tests.
Monaco, on the other side, had to start preparation for the new season much earlier than they usually do - this time due to qualifying stage. At the start of preparation they were really sluggish in first three games - losing to Hannover, Shakhtar and Dynamo Moscow without a goal scored, but the things improved later on as the team won over QPR 1:0, PSV 3:1, drew against PSG 0:0 and finally won over Mainz 5:1 in their latest rehearsal for this game.
Both teams showed some nice football in previous weeks and we should see one of the most interesting matches of the third round. Monaco is a favorite to win the game, however the Swiss side is known for their attacking mentality in front of their fans and the goals will be my choice here. Odds are surely worth a shot.
