In this FA Cup semifinal game Chelsea and Tottenham will clash at Wembley.
Chelsea are still league leaders, but lately they started to decline slowly, allowing Tottenham to get closer and now the difference is only four points. They lost two times in the last four matches - quite surprisingly to Crystal Palace at home, and to Manchester United at Old Trafford in the last game. Chelsea looked unrecognisable in that game, with United completely shutting them down. Herrera did a great job taking care of Hazard, which left Chelsea powerless to do anything. The hosts took the lead already in 7th minute, when Rashford scored after a great through ball from Herrera. We haven`t seen any clear chances since then, but in 49th minute Herrera managed to score after his shot deflected from Zouma, leaving Begovic unable to make a save. It was a really tough day for Chelsea, as they left defeated, without having a single shot on goal. All four questionable players - Alonso, Cahill, Moses and Curtois are expected to be fit for the game.
Tottenham are in great form at the moment, having won last eight competitive games, conceding only four goals in process, while scoring 28. In the last game they beat Bournemouth at home convincingly 4:0. Dembele gave hosts the lead in 16th minute, with Son making it 2:0 only three minutes later. Kane put the game beyond any doubt in 48th minute, even though there wasn`t really any doubt about who will come out as winners. Fourth goal came in stoppage time, with Janssen scoring only five minutes after coming on. Tottenham limited Bournemouth to absolutely nothing, proving they are more powerful than ever, and that they should be taken seriously in their quest for the title. For this game they will be without injured Lamela, Rose, Winks and Vorm.
It is hard to predict a winner here, even though Tottenham are in a lot better form at the moment. Last Chelsea`s game was their first without scoring a goal since January, when they failed to score on their visit to Tottenham. However, their defensive performances have declined a little bit, having kept a clean sheet only two times in the last twelve games. Tottenham, on the other hand, have been even better in the attacking department. They have also been more solid defensively, but all of their clean sheets came against weaker oppositions. Therefore, both teams should have enough to score here. Tottenham are playing likeable attacking football, while Chelsea posses huge individual quality within their team, with a number of players capable of scoring. Both teams will want to progress to the final, since they came this far, and it should bring us an interesting game, most likely with goals coming from both sides.
