West Ham showed more than decent performances in this season, they are currently at 6th position at the table with 20 points from previous 11 rounds. They welcoming now Everton in 12th round of English Premier league. West Ham suffered three defeats in this season, against newly promoted Bournemouth, Leicester and most recently in previous round against Watford, while they managed to win against strongest teams in league, Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool. West Ham now must try to get back on the track after defeat in last round and they will for sure give their best here to win and continue with good results in this season. In last five matches against Everton they failed to win and suffered three defeats with two draws. They were playing in qualifications for Europa league in this season and in third round they were eliminated by Romanian Astra. Now they are fully focused on their domestic league, since they were also eliminated from Capital One Cup by Leicester in 1/16 finals. They will for sure achieve good results if they continue to play in such a good form like so far and reach higher positions in order to try win placement in Europe competitions. They are playing very strong offensive football in this season and they are among most effective teams in league. Defensive midfielder Alexandre Song will miss this match due to injury, forward Diafra Sakho is also out due to thigh injury while defender James Collins is suspended.
Everton on the other side currently occupies 9th position and they also showed very good performances in this season, most recently in last round of Premier league they achieved convincing victory over Sunderland at home 6:2, before that they managed to eliminate Norwich in Capital One Cup and reach 1/8 finals. Everton suffered only three defeats in this season against strong sides, Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City. They also showed decent attacking skills and scored 19 goals in this season while conceded 15. Previous season they ended at 11th position at the table and they won't compete in Europe, now they are hoping that can reach upper part of the table and try to win placement into European competitions. This will now be very hard match for Everton on the road and they must show really good performances to achieve some positive outcome. Defensive midfielder Muhamed Besic, defender Leighton Baines and midfielder Tom Cleverley will maybe miss this trip to Upton Park due to fitness problems, while defender Bryan Oviedo and Tony Hibert and attacking midfielder Steven Pienaar will miss this match due to injuries and defender Phil Jagielka will stay out of action for two more months due to a knee injury.
West Ham series of 4 matches without defeat was interrupted by Watford in previous round and they will for sure give their best now in front of their fans to achieve positive result and get back on the track, while Everton with convincing victory over Sunderland boosted their morale and now I expect very open match and some offensive football from both sides and over 2.5 goals to be scored.
