Gladbach will host Hannover in 13th round of German Bundesliga. Gladbach currently occupies decent 6th position at the table, and after slow start of this season they can now be satisfied with results, since in last 9 matches in all competitions are without defeat, in previous round they divided points with Juventus at home while in previous round of Bundesliga got a draw against Ingolstadt, also at home. They must try to win here and try to repeat last seasons results, when they ended at 3rd position and win direct placement into Champions league. In Champions league they are currently at last place in group D and after four rounds got only two points, they now must try to earn some points in last two rounds and try to at least reach Europa league knockout stage. Gladbach improved their form, they seems much better than on start of this campaign and for sure will give their best and try to win all three points at their field. Midfielders Patrick Hernmann, Andre Hahn and Nico Shulz, defenders Martin Stranzl and Alvaro Dominguez will miss this match due to injuries, midfielder Granit Xhaka is suspended while appearance of defender Julian Korb is in doubt.
Hannover on the other hand had showed pretty bad performances in this season, they are currently at 15th position at the table, only one place above relegation zone. They celebrated only three times, got two draws and suffered 7 defeats, while in Cup were eliminated in 1/16 finals by Darmstadt. Hannover ended previous season at 13th position in Bundesliga, only two points more than teams in relegation zone and they must improve their form to reach higher positions and keep their Bundesliga status. They must improve their attacking skills, so far they scored 12 goals while conceded 22. Hannover has negative record against Gladbach, in last five matches they celebrated only once and suffered four defeats and judging by their results so far it will be rally hard for Hannover to set up different outcome. Forward Charlison Benchop and attacking midfielder Hiroshi Kiyotake will stay out of action for this match, while midfielders Edgar Prib, Leon Andreasen and Felix Klaus are having problems with slight injuries and won't participate in this match.
Gladbach must go for a victory here, they are in decent shape and for sure have enough quality to celebrate here, while Hannover must try to change something in their squad, they are already very near to a relegation zone and if they don't improve their form they won't be able to avoid dropping their position, I expect home victory here.
