BATE Borisov awaiting Bayer Leverkuzen in 5th round of Champions league group stage. Bate is currently at last position with three points from previous four rounds. Belarus team achieved great success by qualifying for Champions league but they probably won't reach knockout stage. So far they celebrated only once against Roma at home 3:2, while suffered three defeats, two against Barcelona and one against Leverkuzen in their previous duel. It will be very hard for them to achieve some positive result here since Leverkuzen must go for a victory in order to reach knockout stage. BATE is doing fine job in their domestic league, and they are at first position in Belarus but they simple have no enough quality to compete with strong European teams. In previous duel against Leverkuzen BATE suffered convincing defeat on the road 4:1 and for sure will be hard to achieve different outcome here. They showed plenty of weaknesses in their defense and conceded at least two goals in every match in previous four rounds. Only forward Vitali Rodionov will miss this match due to an injury.

Bayer Leverkuzen meanwhile are at third position in group E with only one point more than Bate, and now have imperative to win here. In case of victory they can reach second position since Roma is playing against Barcelona and in case of theirs defeat Leverkuzen will have a chance to reach knockout stage. Leverkuzen coming to this match after victory over Eintracht in Bundesliga and that was their first victory after three consecutive defeats. It seems that they dropped their form and that victory for sure boosted their morale before this match. They are not in very good shape but still are at decent position in Bundesliga and for sure have enough quality to achieve positive outcome here and repeat their result from first match against BATE. Leverkuzen showed decent attacking skill in Champions league group stage and scored 11 goals but they must try to improve their defense since conceded 10 goals in four rounds. They have a long list of injured players, defenders Tin Jedvaj and Roberto Hilbert, midfielder Charles Aranguiz and forward Seung-Woo Ryi will stay out of action due to injuries, defenders Kyriakos Papadoupoulos and Omer Toprak are suspended while defensive midfielder Lars Bender will probably miss this match since he is not fully recovered from the injury.

BATE reached Champions league group stage and that is their maximum, they are hoping now that maybe can achieve positive result in front of their fans as they did against Roma but to achieve that must show outstanding performances, while Leverkuzen must go for a victory, they have quality to win all three points here and for sure will give their best to achieve their second victory over BATE.
