Sevilla managed to avoid defeat in three consecutive matches for the first time since new campaign started, they achieved narrow victory over Valencia in Spanish Primera, later managed to defeat lower ranked UD Logrones in first leg of 1/16 finals of Spanish Cup, while most recently in last round of Primera divided points with Deportivo on the road. Sevilla now welcoming Juventus in 6th round of Champions league group stage. They are currently at last position in group D with only three points, theoretically they still have chances to reach Europa league knockout stage but they must win in this match while Gladbach must loose in duel against Manchester City, everything is possible but Sevilla must show much more than in previous match against Juventus when they were defeated 2:0. Sevilla is struggling to find their form in this season, in Spanish league they are currently at 10th position at the table with 19 points from 14 rounds. They must improve their performances on the road since so far in this campaign they celebrated only once in duel away from home in Cup. Only victory in this match will be positive for them here and their placement depends also from result of second duel in this group so they have small chances to continue with their participation in Europe. Goalkeeper Beto, defenders Daniel Carrico, Nico Pareja and Marco Andreoli and midfielder Gael Kakuta will miss this match due to injuries while defender Benoit Tremoulinas is having problem with injury and his appearance is under the question.
Juventus meanwhile is at first position in group D, they already won their placement into Champions league knockout stage. After slow start in this season, Juventus finally found their form and they are coming to this match after five straight victories. They are without defeat in Champions league in this season and for sure will give their best to end this qualifications at best possible way and achieve their 6th consecutive victory. Juventus was at the middle of the table in Italy due to some bad results on start of the season but they now managed to climb up to a 5th position and it seems that they announcing joining into title race, they won the title in Italy four times in a row and if they continue with performances like in past 5 matches, for sure will include themselves into battle for the title. In those five matches Juventus scored ten goals and conceded only one and they managed to get back on the track completely. In Italian Serie A they conceded 11 goals least in entire league while they also showed good goal scoring skills and scored 22 goals, while in Champions league they have goal difference 6:2, and it shows that they are playing great football at this moment. Juventus will for sure try to repeat result form first match when they defeated Sevilla but it won't be easy now on the road, They have enough quality for positive outcome for sure. Forward Roberto Pereyra and defensive midfielder Sami Khedira will stay out of action due to injuries, midfielder Hernanes is suspended, forward Mario Mandzukic is out duo to illness while defensive midfielder Mario Lemina is having problems with minor injury and his appearance is in doubt.
Sevilla have failed to reach Champions league knockout stage and they now have some small chances to continue with competing into Europa league but first they must achieve victory here and hope that Gladbach will be defeated by Manchester City, Juventus on the other hand already won their placement into knockout phase and for sure will give their best to continue their series of good results and end this group stage at first position in group D, I expect open and interesting match with plenty of chances and both teams to score.
