1-2 - Won
After losing 1-0 at Chelsea (3rd), Manchester United have won their last four Premier League games, which includes a 3-1 away win at Arsenal (5th). Mourinho has got them playing very well, but a big loss for them in this game will be the absence of Pogba in midfield who is suspended for this game. Hard to see Manchester United stopping City's midfield of Silva and de Bruyne in particular from exerting their influence in the middle of the park. With Pogba there, he could have been very effective in controlling these two exceptional players.
Manchester City not only should control the midfield, but with Aguero up front they have a striker in form, and who has scored in his last nine away games. As opposed to Lukaku, who has lost his goal scoring touch after a very good start to the season. He will have it tough though, as United have only conceded once at home, but as most teams prefer to be conservative when they come to Old Trafford. City on the other hand, do not know what that means.
This should be a game where United look to keep it tight and not allow City opportunities to score and then look to hit them on the counter. City will have the majority of the possession and probe, looking for holes in this defence. Ultimately, City have shown they are the best team in the league and their overall quality should shine through. Interestingly, Mourinho has only beaten Guardiola four times in their 19 meetings, while Guardiola has eight of these 19 wins with seven draws.
