AC Milan are in the form of their life at the moment, remaining unbeaten in thirteen games. They have won five and drawn one of their last six without conceding a goal. Few gave Gattuso a chance when he took over the managerial reigns from Vincenzo Montella in December but he has even been touted as a long term choice for the position after their recent turn in form. He has had the likes of Bonucci playing like he did at Juventus in a defensive partnership with Romagnoli who seem to be developing with each game. Cutrone has replaced big money summer signing Andre Silva in the attacking position and he is repaying the faith shown in him with goals. The whole team seems to be working again and there are even talks of a push for a top four spot in the Serie A. They have had an extended break after the tragedy that befell Italian football that saw their game against Inter called off and should benefit from the extra rest here. A 4-3-3 formation is expected with Calhanoglu, Cutrone and Suso in attack. Biglia, Kessie and Bonaventura should complete the midfield three with a back four of Calabria, Rodriguez, Bonucci and Romagnoli and Donnarumma in between the sticks.
Arsenal season seems to be in shambles after recording five defeats in their last six games. They were beaten in the league cup final by Man City and then lost again to the same opponent four days later in the league before another disappointing performance at Brighton ended in a 2-1 defeat for them. It is safe to assume they are effectively out of the top four race as they are thirteen points off Tottenham who occupy the last qualifying position. They are not helped here by the number of absentees to the squad as they are missing Lacazette and cup tied Aubameyang. Bellerin and Cazorla are also out with Nacho Monreal a doubt. A 4-3-3 formation with Welbeck, Ozil and Mkhitaryan is expected with a midfield trio of Xhaka, Ramsey and Wilshere. Chambers should fill in for Bellerin at right back with Mustafi and Koscielny in the central defense positions.
Arsenal have been poor away from home this season and have recorded just six away wins in twenty-one games. In fact, they have beaten any decent team away from home this season while losing to some average teams also. They are not helped by the absence of two of their recognized strikers and Welbeck filling him for them is a worry as he has the workrate but never that eye for goal to back it up. Milan are playing really well and are a well drilled and disciplined team, very reminiscent of their manager and I fully expect them to be the better side here. they are too well prized in my opinion to pass it up and could even win with some to spare.
