After four seasons in French second league Dijon managed to win their promotion in last campaign, so far achieved main goal which is to stay above red zone, at this moment are at 15th spot with two points more than relegation placed Bastia. In 17th round of French Ligue 1 they will host Marseille and must try to earn some points, it won't be easy since they are in pretty bad shape, in this match are facing with decent side which although didn't achieved great results so far are at better shape and stronger side. They are underdogs here, in last 8 matches they have failed to celebrate including one friendly and one in League Cup where were eliminated by Sochaux after penalty shootout. In last round hosts divided points with Caen away from home in match where six goals was scored, hosts had one player less since 31st minute and after first half they were two goals behind but with a bit of luck they managed to avoid defeat in the end and can be ,more than satisfied with that one point, before that earned another point, huge one this time at home ground against second placed Monaco and in that game they were quiet good. Hosts are playing good at home ground, they now must try to overcome pretty good guests which won't be an easy job, so far they were pretty effective and in 16 rounds scored 22 goals, defense wasn't strongest part of their team and conceded 25 goals but they are for sure satisfied, to reach higher spots they must improve their results on travelings. Last time they met with guests four seasons ago and celebrated with one goal margin on the road, this time must show some outstanding performances to repeat that but i'm sure that will go for a victory and start this match offensively.

Defensive midfielder Florent Balmont (8/0) and midfielder Marvin Martin (1/0) are injured and won't be able to help their team in this game while defender Arnold Bouka Moutou (7/0) is suspended.

Marseille had pretty poor previous campaign and ended at 13th spot in Ligue 1, this season they didn't started very well but managed to improve their form, still are struggling to find consistency but here must try to collect points and finally achieve two victories in a row in this season, in last round they celebrated with convincing result over Nancy, in that game were better side in all segments of the match and deserved all three points, before that took one point against St Etienne after goalless draw, in last 11 matches guests were defeated two times, last defeat came against Monaco with convincing result, in that game simple didn't had a chance against strong side and one of main contenders for the title while before that again were outplayed by Montpellier, both those defeats were on travelings, actually all defeats in this season in Ligue 1 were away from home, their only victory on the road came in League Cup over Clermont. They must show better performances away from home to reach higher spots, in this season are missing from European competitions and to do better in this campaign they must show more than so far, in this game are slight favorites but somehow i;m not so sure that will manage to celebrate, hosts are playing better in front of their fans and won't be an easy prey.

Defender Henri Bedimo (10/0), midfielders Abou Diaby (2/0) and Remy Cabella (11/1) are all injured and won't be available for this game while midfielder Las Diarra (9/0) is still in doubt.

Dijon has only one goal in this season and that is to survive in strongest French league, in this game will have decent opponents but they have advantage of home ground and so far showed that are pretty unpleasant hosts, even Monaco failed to collect all three points at this stadium, guests are without victory ion league away from home and now must try to break interrupt that poor series, this will be a difficult game for both teams but goals is something what i'm pretty sure that we'll see, over 2.5 seems decent.
